La European Film Academy et EFA Productions dévoilent les titres des 46 longs métrages en lice cette année pour les nominations aux European Film Awards 2019! Avec 31 pays européens représentés, cette liste illustre, une fois de plus, la grande diversité du cinéma européen.

Outre Le Jeune Ahmed des frères Dardenne, produit par Les Films du Fleuve, la sélection comporte 5 coproductions belges :

Les films ont été sélectionnés par un comité composé du Comité EFA et d’experts invités : Giorgio Gosetti (programmateur de festival /Italie), Kathrin Kohlstedde (programmateur de festival /Allemagne), Paz Lazaro (programmateur de festival /Espagne), Mary Nazari (exploitant /Russie), Edvinas Pukšta (programmateur de festival /Lituanie) et Agathe Valentin (vendeur international /France).

Dans les prochaines semaines, les plus de 3.600 membres de la European Film Academy voteront pour les nominations dans les catégories : Meilleur Film, Meilleur Réalisateur, Meilleur Acteur, Meilleure Actrice et Meilleur Scénariste européens. Les nominations seront ensuite annoncées le 9 novembre lors du Festival du Film Européen de Séville en Espagne. Un jury de huit membres décidera des lauréats dans les catégories Direction Photo, Montage, Décors, Costumes, Maquillage/Coiffure, Musique Originale, Son et Effets Visuels.

La 32ème cérémonie des European Film Awards révélant les gagnants se déroulera le 7 décembre à Berlin.
